2pc. Black Plastic External-mount 9V Battery Trays (Style 2)

These battery holders are meant to be mounted on the exterior panel of a device (such as a guitar or cigar box amplifier), and allow a battery to be changed without having to open up the enclosure. This style allows the battery to lay flat, and requires a separate battery connector clip (not included), an example of which is shown in two of the listing images - the same sort of battery connector clip that is included with our amplifier boards and kits.

The outside footprint (the part visible when mounted) is 3 3/16" long by 1 1/8" wide. The depth beneath the mounting flange is 1 1/8". A hole slightly bigger than 7/8" x 2 3/8" would need to be cut in the panel you want to mount it in.
