6-pack Open-Gear Economy Tuners

Product Information

This is a set of 6 economy, open-gear tuners, perfect for use on guitars, cigar box guitars, dulcimers, banjos, diddley-bows and other stringed instruments. This set includes 6 chromed plastic bushings/ferrules, and 12 chrome or zinc-plated screws. Three of the tuners are for the left side of a headstock, and three are for the right side. Despite the coloration of the photos, the knobs are white pearloid and the metal parts (aside from the brass gear and black screw) are chrome-plated.

These tuners CANNOT be disassembled and reversed, due to how the plate is stamped. Also note that the bushings/ferrules included with this offer are chromed plastic, so you can't bash them into place with a hammer or they will crack. Make sure the hole you drill to accept them is properly sized! You can choose a set of metal bushings (nickel, black, brass or antique copper) for only $.99 more!

Please note: Screw style may vary slightly from pack to pack (but not within a single pack). Also please be aware that sometimes the gears on economy tuners slip. This is just part of the reality of buying very inexpensive tuners like these - the ones from StewMac and Elderly have the same issues. Sometimes you can correct the slippage by adding a small washer between the gear and the plate, and also trying to place them such that the string tension pulls the gear towards the peg pin and not away from it.

Shipping is $2.00 for the first set and $1.00 for each additional set to the US. $4.00 for the first set and $2.00 for each additional set International. Canadian buyers, I apologize that this shopping cart application doesn't let me distinguish very well between Canadian and true international buyers. The actual cost for shipping to Canada is $2.50 for the first set and $1.00 for each additional - it will charge you full international price when you check out, but I will refund you the difference -- please send me a reminder after ordering to make sure I notice that a refund is needed!
