Description
This is a pack of two nut blanks perfect for cigar box guitars and other homemade instruments. These are formed from water buffalo horn (Bubalus bubalis), which has a nice dark mottled appearance and is the same color (with some mottling) all the way through. Here are the dimensions:
- Length: 1.6875" (42mm)
- Height: 0.375" (~10mm)
- Thickness: 0.195" (5mm)
These blanks are and are rectangular in shape, but because they are made from a natural animal product they may have slight irregularities: occlusions, slightly angled corners, etc. You will need to file/shape them to your needs and add string notches as desired.
