18cm. (7-inch) Stainless Steel Dog Dish - Cigar Box Guitar Resonator Cone

This is a stainless steel pet dish, very much the same as could be bought (at a higher cost) in many pet supply stores. They have a much better use than for providing water to pets, however: they are of a perfect size and temperament for use as resonator cones for cigar box guitars.

These bowls have an outer diameter at the widest point of 18 centimeters (just over 7 1/16"), and are about 2 inches in depth. This makes them suitable for use as resonator cones in larger cigar boxes (at least 7 1/4" wide by 2 1/8" deep). To use these, you would need to cut a circle of about 6 7/8" in the top of your cigar box and either glue them in place, or drill holes to use screws to mount them. Then place a bridge of appropriate height on the top of the raised center portion of the bowl (what is actually the bottom, as the bowl is mounted in the cigar box upside-down), and you will be ready to go. The black rubber rims on the bowls are easily removed.
