Buy stuff, get free stuff. It's as simple as that.
We now have a Free Rewards program here at C. B. Gitty. You already buy your parts and gear here, and now you can get extra FREE stuff every time you do. Whether you're buying a few sets of tuners or a season's worth of parts, our rewards program will make sure you go away feeling special.
We have the following reward tiers (for the levels that are coming soon, we are still working on getting the reward items designed and in-stock!):
- $85 (coming soon)
- $100 (free shipping for US customers applies at this level)
- $300 (coming soon)
- $500 (coming soon)
- $1000 (coming soon)
Simply pick out the regular items you want, then see what your cart subtotal comes to (before shipping costs). Then browse over to the Free Rewards category and click on the reward level you qualify for - this will let you pick the specific reward.
See something you want in a higher tier? Add a few more goodies to your cart until you reach that level - you know you'll use them eventually anyway!
Terms and Conditions
You can add ONE free reward item (from any tier) to your cart per order. For each reward tier there is a single multi-option product listing that lets you choose the specific reward item you want. Once added to your cart, a discount of the full price of the reward item will apply. The reward items for the different tiers will vary over time based on what we have available; we do not guarantee that any particular reward will be available at any time.
Here's Glenn Watt playing a boxless cigar box guitar! That's right folks, all of that sound from just a lid! This is part of one of the A. J. Gaither Arkansas Tenor cigar box guitars we build and sell. A. J.'s design provides a self-supporting neck/lid setup which doesn't even really require the rest of the cigar [...]
We have created a new single listing for cigar box guitar fretboards, which allows you to choose the wood and style (blank, slotted, fully fretted) that you want to buy. This new combined listing replaces the separate listings we used to have for each separate wood. All of the old listing pages now redirects to the new [...]
The new Gittylele uke kit is like a blank canvas to me. Not only is it a fun and easy kit to build, but all the bare wood on the surface just screams for custom artwork.I recently customized this uke by woodburning vintage advertising all over the body. I chose labels and logos from 1930's fruit crates to [...]

Yesterday, I got the urge to build something new, so I went into my woodshop and challenged myself to make something within one hour. The Cigar Box Guitars, Shovel Guitar and other Instruments seen on the Bull TV Show - with illustrated screen shots
Hey all, Ben Gitty here! Recently I took part in decorating the set for the CBS TV show Bull, starring Michael Weatherly of NCIS fame and Freddy Rodriguez. They needed the scene to look like the workshop of an eccentric guitar builder, so I loaded up the Gitty van and headed down to Congers, NY [...]

Dear Gitty,I just thought I'd take a moment to thank you for your company's excellent service to me and my students as we explore making electric guitars using clay! Our middle school curriculum puts a lot of emphasis on sculpture and 3d art. I was looking for a new thing to excite the kids and [...]
