Cooking with Gitty: Matthew Templin's 4-String Silverware Box Bass

4-string silverware box electric bass guitar, made by Matthew Templin of Jemison, AL.
- Bass body is a wood silverware box purchased at a local thrift store for $2.00
- bridge is made from a maple cutting board found in an abandoned camper
- tailpiece is a cabinet hinge
- bracing on the inside is made from reclaimed wood from an office renovation at the company I work at.
- neck, pickups, and electronics were pulled from a Johnson P-bass copy
CB Gitty parts used:
2pc. black screened sound hold inserts
I have taken this guitar to several local jam sessions, and it is always a head-turner.
Regards,
Matthew Templin
