1LB Bulk Fret Wire - Medium/Medium Nickel-Silver

Please note: the cost of fret wire from the manufacturers has been going up astronomically, and is now roughly triple what it was a couple of years ago. We try hard to keep our prices fair and competitive, but there is only so much we can do in the face of these sorts of increases.

This is a one pound bulk lot of our "Medium/Medium" fret wire, considered to be the "standard" and most popular modern fret wire size. It has a nice medium width and medium height, which makes it perfect for almost any guitar, banjo, cigar box guitar, dulcimer and other medium-sized stringed instrument. This fret wire can be used for both new work and repair work.

This bulk lot allows you to purchase one pound of fret wire in 12" lengths, or roughly 68 total feet, more than enough for many fret jobs. This fret wire comes in straight lengths that can be radiused as necessary to match your particular fret board. This fret wire is identical to Stewart-MacDonald's #148 "Medium/medium" fret wire, with one key difference - we sell it cheaper!
