Cut Loose!:  Like conventional tenor ukes, The Tenorlele is a larger size that feels more like a grown-up's instrument.  It plays like a Hawaiian dream.

Introducing the Tenorlele Uke Kit!

These awesome acoustic-electric ukulele kits are the brainchild of Ben "Gitty" Baker. For years he's wanted to bring a cigar box-style uke kit to the market that would rise above the little plinky-plinky strummers popular at luaus and with children, and something that would stand apart from the herd of cheap imports.

This new line of Tenorlele kits is the result of Ben's efforts: a collection of fun, easy-to-build and easy-to-play instrument kits whose eye appeal is only topped by their beautiful tone. The ukuleles built from these kits are larger than most standard ukes seen on the market today, with a longer "tenor" scale length and wider fret spacing for less-cramped playing... and the major components of the kit (laser-cut box pieces, fully fretted hardwood neck) are made right here in our New Hampshire workshop.

This kit also includes one of our "Cap-o-Tone Junior" piezo contact mic pickup harnesses with the kit for acoustic-electric playing - we even pre-cut the jack mounting hole for you! Strap buttons are also included for adding a strap if desired. We also include USA-made nylon strings for classic gCEA tuning.

We also throw in a free Essential Ukulele Chords 18 x 12-inch color poster, to help you get started strumming!
