Valu-Craft cigar box guitar necks are a fantastic choice for budget-friendly builder.  Each features:

Fitted with 21 frets to a 25-inch scale, they are sanded smooth to a high grit and left without stain or other finish.

These necks will need a standard guide nut installed to keep the strings in position up and over the zero fret, or a variety of string retainer like these.
