Cooking With Gitty: Look at my new "Fender" guitar! (Fender lunchbox, that is...)
Fender Lunchbox 3-string Guitar by Scott McGilliard
This is my build number 30. When I saw the Fender Lunch Boxes, I just had to build me my own Fender. Thanks Gitty for getting me started and keeping me building.

Start with these Gitty ingredients:
- 1/2 set Chrome Sealed-Gear Guitar Tuners
- Bone Nut Blank
- Fretboard - Genuine Mahogany - fully fretted
- Chrome "Snake Oil" Mini Humbucking Pickup
- 3-string Chrome Hard-tail Bridge
- 1/2 set - Shane Speal 6-string Cigar Box Guitar String Set (A_D_G strings tuned GDg)
- 24ga. Hook-up Wire
- 2 - Standard Long-shaft 500KOhm Pots (for volume and tone)
- Guitar Tone Capacitor - 0.047uF (for the tone pot)
- Neutrik 1/4-inch Mono Guitar Jack
- Guitar Tone Capacitor - 0.010uF (for the jack)
- 2 - Chrome Flat-Top Knobs
- Chrome Strap Button
Include a few other ingredients:
- Genuine Fender Lunchbox (Fender)
- Maple 1x2 (Home Depot)
- 3/16 Poplar dowel rod for fret markers (Hardware)
- Deft Interior Clear Wood Finish Gloss Lacquer for the neck (Hardware)
- Dog leash and shoe string for the strap (Walmart)
- Mix carefully - plug it in - play your favorite songs
