Special Edition "Black Mamba" Snake Oil Humbucker - Laser-engraved

We've taken our popular "Black Mamba" Snake Oil Humbucker and laser-engraved it with an original design, reminiscent of old Patent Medicine bottles from the early 1900's. We load these one at a time into a special laser machine that marks the design into the top plated surface, where it will be fully visible once installed on your special build. The engraved surface usually exhibits a sort of prismatic/holographic color sheen, and the effect changes depending on the lighting and the viewing angle - every one is slightly different, and unique!

The result is a beautiful, distinctive, touch for your special build... which also happens to be an amazing humbucker pickup! Shane Speal, the King of the Cigar Box Guitar, says "These are my favorite pickups... bar none! They're the perfect mix of smooth 'molasses' blues tones of a humbucker and mean 'snarl' of a single coil." 

The dimensions of the plated portion are 2.66L" x 1.10W" x 0.66" high. The distance between the screw holes is about 3.09". The core of the pickup is a ferrite magnet, otherwise known as ceramic. Mounting screws and springs are included. The pickups are rated at ~13.8KOhm.
