"Dr. Rattler's Snake Oil Remedy" Custom-engraved 2 1/4-inch Medicine Vial Slide

The old-timers would often re-purpose glass bottles to use as guitar slides, and this style of medicine vial was one of their favorites. We've been selling these vials in 5 and 10-dram sizes (2.125-inch and 3-inch) for years, and now we are proud to offer them CUSTOM ENGRAVED with highly detailed designs.

This "Dr. Rattler's Snake Oil Remedy" evokes the old patent medicine bottles from the late 1800's and early 1900's, when traveling salesmen would hawk all sorts of miracle cures and remedies to the public, who were all too eager to believe their wild claims of curative properties. This is an original design created by Ben "Gitty" Baker, who painstakingly perfected the process of laser-etching the glass through extensive trial and error.

These slides are produced in very small batches, in a time-intensive process requiring careful cleaning, setup and final inspection - which explains why they are priced at a premium - but guitar connoisseurs know the value of UNIQUE and DISTINCTIVE accessories such as these! We ship them in a protective cardboard tube, along with a piece of adhesive moleskin that you can cut into strips and stick inside the slide (on the bottom side, opposite the etched design) to size it to your finger.

Dimensions: 1-inch outside diameter, 0.625-inch inside diameter (use included moleskin to size it to your finger), ~2.25-inches long. Made from borosilicate glass.
